
Business Development Manager
Jagex Ltd, the UK’s leading independent Online Games Studio, is looking for a dynamic and confident business development manager.
The company is going through an exciting phase in this challenging, changing market and now requires an astute and confident individual to oversee the business development function, investigating and creating strategies for growing our player base.
This is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding business operative, with strong games industry experience, to forge an exciting career within this hugely successful company. You will be reporting into the Chief Finance Officer, advising the company and working very closely with the executive, games development and commercial teams.
Key Duties Include:
- Researching and evaluating new business opportunities, partnerships and revenue streams ;
- Managing ongoing projects and negotiating/concluding complex contracts with key partners;
- Identifying opportunities in existing and in new markets in order to augment the player base and our games portfolio;
- Liaising with other teams to implement key opportunities;
- Communicating with partners regularly to update them on performance and ensure they are fulfilling their objectives;
- Working with internal development and commercial teams to fulfil partner requests;
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, external partners and suppliers.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant experience in a similar position within the gaming industry;
- Successful track record of investigating and implementing new business opportunities;
- Strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of the online gaming industry;
- Good communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to influence others;
- High level of self confidence and the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management, peers and business partners;
- Strong problem solving, analytical skills and attention to detail, allied to an awareness of the bigger picture;
- Hands-on, energetic style with a positive “can do” attitude.
Desirable Requirements:
- Fluency in a second language would be a plus.
