Website Designer

Jagex Ltd, the UK’s leading independent online games studio, is looking for a talented website designer to join its online publishing team.

Working with our in-house technologies, you will be responsible for the design of our public-facing websites.

Key duties include:

• Design exciting new websites with consideration for usability and functionality;
• Using your artistic approach to create unique designs that inspire our player community;
• Designing new websites from initial concept design through to implementation and production of style guides for future updates.

Requirements:

• Excellent web design skills;
• Advanced knowledge of Photoshop;
• Able to demonstrate good functionality and usability through current online portfolios/sites;
• Ability to produce a variety of graphical concepts from brief;
• An understanding of usability requirements and user-friendly interface design;
• Proven track record of designing attractive and well thought-out websites;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Also useful:

• Degree level education in a related subject;
• Previous web design experience;
• Knowledge of Flash.

Details:

Salary
£22k+ (negotiable, depending on experience), plus excellent benefits package including annual bonus, private health care, gym membership and more.

Location
Cambridge. Candidates must be able to work in Cambridge or relocate if offered the position. Interviews will be held at the Cambridge office.

The banner must be graphically exciting and eye-catching, and it should also demonstrate good use of typographical and layout skills. You may animate the banner if you wish.

• The banner size should be 500px by 200px
• It must include the game's title and some text about the game (the text can be taken from the FunOrb website)
• Feel free to embellish the banner with your own graphics and style, while staying sympathetic to the game itself
• Please supply the artwork in .jpg or .swf format
